Hi All,
Please see a new report we have added to this service!!!!
The report in question is "Remote Tools Sessions", and you can access it via Custom Reports which needs to be turned on in the "Beta Labs" area first.

Robin: in the database that is exposed to us for writing our own query, we are missing procedure and anti virus database. We want to generate a report for all procedures that ran on workstations of a particular customer. Also we need to create a report for antivirus updates
R
Robin
myr: Let me see see what I can do for you on this

Please be aware that in release 7.4.0.0 which is 21st and 22nd that we are releasing update ITA261 which is bringing this reporting to BETA labs.
This ITA-197 will remain and be focused on pre-made reports and other parts of the system needed to bring it out of BETA.

In my opinion, ITarian needs at a minimum:
A proper executive summary report showing the number of devices (workstations/mobiles/servers), protection status, monitor status, update status, OS details.
A user audit report showing what logged in users have done
A report showing the devices added/removed to the platform for the month
These all stop me from using ITarian over other RMM products.

Nathan Carter: We have two levels or reports we are working on at the moment.
This topic and assigned ITA is about RMM level reporting.
We have an ITA for PSA level reporting coming on here shortly, the idea here is that these would be reports and information pulled from all different applications within our platform to make as you call them "executive reports".
I'll make an item on here for this and mention you in it as we would love to know what you want in these reports.

Atleast give us API access, so we can create our own reports. Basically we need access to the procedures run status if they were successful or failure. Patch installation status if they were successful or failure.
R
Robin
myr: We have some API's for some items but not all items are possible. We have a big move to improve API's and give more flexibility but I'm not sure we currently have what you need.
Hopefully the new reports will do the job once released and additional reports added.

We are working on a new reports feature that will hopefully resolve all these issues. The beta of this new reports system is due out in Septembers release, but please be aware this is a beta and showing data is done; but templates for outputs are not.

Robin: Thank you for the feedback
m
myr
Robin: will we get access ? I already have beta reports feature enabled but the reports in there are of no use. We cannot even select time range for the report.
R
Robin
myr: This is planned to be released and accessible in the September release that is happening right now!
m
myr
Robin: thank you eager to test it out on 23rd

Robin: I do not see anything new under beta reports after yesterdays update (Sep 2022). Is it postponed? The Reports beta has the same set of options and basically i cannot choose a date range for the reports. It only allows to select a single day of the calendar. And there is no query feature as mentioned in the release notes:
Custom Reports beta bringing data access and query tools (ITA-145)
R
Robin
myr: ITA-145 is the custom reports.
Let me double check access and release.
R
Robin
myr: after checking it is the backend that has been deployed not front end. If you want to access this earlier for testing please create a support request to support@itarian.com
m
myr
Robin: Thanks, i will create a request tomorrow. What exactly I need to request in the ticket? Should i give reference to this so that the support teams understand what exactly I am requesting for?

Robin: I got the custom reports and it looks good. However it's missing two important database tables (1) Performance Metrics of devices (2) Procedure run details (Script Logs). The tech support said that there are no plans to include that at the moment, and I believe its very important to add that so that we can also generate reports for workstations for the performance (CPU, RAM usage etc) and generate reports for the scheduled procedures that we run in various maintenance windows for our customers. This allows us to generate a report of success and failure of the procedure. Today we can export it but we want in reports section, to schedule it otherwise we have to go to each and every procedure and export it from there, then get the CSV file to Excel and create graph etc.
